Joanne Trzcinski, pianist and jazz vocalist, is a fresh addition to the Oregon Willamette Valley music scene. Although a local to the area now, she brings a touch of her back east urban roots to the Willamette Valley. She has performed jazz standards and originals at local wineries, eateries and special events over the past few years. Her first CD, White Shirt Black Suit, was recorded with an ensemble of jazz musicians, two of which are her own family members and released a year ago. Joanne's vocals are smooth and dreamy and her "easy listening" musical style makes her music enjoyable to audiences of any age.
The Infallible Collective is composed of Lance Albertson on trumpet, Doug Meyers on guitar, w.g. "Malkiel" davies on electric upright bass, and Van Walk on drums. We play a variety of styles, ranging from '50s & '60s bop to Latin Swing & Bossa Nova to modern trip-hop and jams. The band is always exploring new and original compositions as well as the occasional bop-era standard; currently we have been arranging Herbie Hancock's 1964 soul-jazz groover Cantaloupe Island. Doug has composed a beautiful ballad dedicated to his lovely wife entitled Julie's Calm. Additionally, we have re-vamped the pulse-beating Last Chance to better reflect its bop sensibilities and are currently constructing two new groovers, Super Bad Mode 2000; so-titled for its nod to '80s fav "Knight Rider", and Groove Stew; which is best served with a side of freshly baked biscuits. Yes indeed kids, jazz is alive and well, and we invite you all along for the ride.

What has happened to America's original musical art form jazz? It seems it has become an antiquated museum piece securely placed under a glass case, ever-guarded by the Jazz Police, transformed from a vibrant, expressive art form into an object to be observed and dissected in universities ("Jazz Studies"), and barely acknowledged by a distracted American listening public. The be-bop championed by Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie and then developed by all the great musicians sonically immortalized on those 50s and 60s Blue Note, Verve, Impulse Prestige, etc. records surely deserves our continual respect, admiration and listening. However, consistently regurgitating the musical past is a form of artistic suicide. What to do? The Van Myers Jazz Duo wishes to abandon the past and invite the listener and viewer into a musical world where artistic communication and the thrilling risk of blazing new musical ground is a never ending goal. Is it "jazz proper"? And where is the bass player? Does it really matter? Just dig the journey. . . http://web.me.com/vmjazzodd/Site/home.html

Formerly Hines is an eclectic mix if
music flavors. Rock, jazz, country, folk, classical and big band.
This is a band with few illusions about how music must be torn
apart and rediscovered at every junction on a page of words and
notes. All, but a very few, of the songs and tunes heard by this
band are original. They tend to stretch the thoughts when laying
down a track or writing a word for the right phrasing to make
a song fly.

Taking the hook of indie-pop, adding a dose of lyrical twist, and driving it all home with a beat that won't allow you to sit still... Master Cylinder will draw you in and keep you there. The thump of the backbeat in songs like "Complementarity", "Radar", and "Blue" is the siren that beckons you. You will be humming along and tapping your feet to the clever lines, the velvety bass, and unforgettable guitar melodies. Alaskan born artist Marty Baggen "is
not famous, and may never be but he damn well should be!"
writes Stephanie Guinn of the Indie Reviewer. "Pure pop
that rivals The Goo Goo Dolls in their finest hour" writes
Greg Mandel of the Oregonian. ![]()

My dad taught me to play guitar when I was in the fourth grade. I've been playing off and on ever since (mostly on). During the college years I lived in Missoula, Montana and played with a great musician and friend, Geoff Peddicord under the name "Trout Farm." (we were both fly-fishing guides at the time). After college I moved back to Oregon where I have been an elementary school teacher for the last 16 years and currently teach. On the weekends and during the summer, I love getting to share my music. http://www.reverbnation.com/danielreynolds
Hailing from Corvallis, Matthew Rosenberg, builds upon his own distinct genre of music. With folk roots and a love for the Reggae style of syncopation, and occasional melodies of traditional Nigun, Rosenberg keeps audiences listening to his every word. Rosenberg has made crowds of more than 200 people enthusiastically cheer with his own versions of Beatles songs, Mason Jennings and Bob Marley. His own musical creations will stay with any listener for their deep lyrical philosophies as well as their catchy vocal melodies. In between songs, Rosenberg has a knack for making the audience laugh and continuously smile.
